John’s practice centers on real property, and he handles matters that relate to the buying, selling, developing, financing, and use of real estate.  His focus is very client-specific, but he has spent most of his career engaging in large commercial transactions, title examination and insurance, foreclosure and title litigation, mortgage loan workouts, zoning and variance work, mortgage lending, leasing, and property management.

John is proud of his long and continuous association with the Firm, which began back in 1983 as a law clerk, and extended as an associate and then partner for many years.  He is presently serving the Firm in an “of counsel” capacity, and he enjoys an extremely active and varied practice.   John is primarily a problem-solver and dealmaker, and he is often brought in to complex business or litigation matters to find or implement creative solutions.

John received both his undergraduate business degree (BBA 1983 Summa Cum Laude) and his law degree (JD 1986 Summa Cum Laude) from the University of Miami in Coral Gables.  He has been a resident of South Florida for virtually his entire adult life.

John is a member of the Florida Bar and the Broward County Bar Association; served as member and chairman of a local Bar Grievance Committee (17E 2000-2003); and is also an active member of the Broward County Attorneys’ Real Estate Council.  He is an authorized agent for Old Republic National Title Insurance Company and writes title insurance for his clients on the transactions he handles.

John is licensed to practice law in the State of Florida, in the United States District Court, Southern District of Florida, and in the Supreme Court of the United States.
