Jodie grew up in South Florida and received her Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Law, cum laude, from the University of Florida. She continued on to receive her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from St. Thomas University School of Law.

Her practice specializes in the representation of developers, land owners and business ventures before various State, County and local government agencies. Jodie specializes in assisting her clients with land use plan amendments, re-zonings, plat and site plan approvals, developer agreements, variances, conditional use and code waivers, code enforcement proceedings, building permit and code disputes and complex governmental negotiations/lobbying. She conducts and prepares due diligence reports in connection with property acquisitions, assists developers in structuring, negotiating, and closing commercial real estate transactions and works to resolve complex business and contractual issues. Jodie also handles landlord/tenant matters and most recently has been actively involved in assisting in the negotiation and drafting of short term vacation rental laws in various municipalities.  She represents property owners, managers and hosts in the application and implementation of applicable State, County and local government regulations, as applicable. 

Jodie resides in Broward County and is actively involved in local and State politics as well as a number of numerous charitable and community organizations.  She serves as an Executive Board Member for the Broward County Boys and Girls Club and actively works on several of its committees. She is also a member of the Broward and Miami-Dade County Bar Associations. She is a member of the Vacation Rental Management Association and was a member of the City of Fort Lauderdale Vacation Rental Committee.  She serves on the City of Fort Lauderdale Sistrunk Festival Committee.  She has served as a board member of the Broward Education Foundation, a volunteer for the Make-A-Wish Wish-Makers and as an Executive Board Member for the St. Thomas University School of Law Alumni Council.
